![]() ![]() ![]() The game is pretty comfortable on systems with specs comparable to the RPi, I don't think performance and memory usage will be as big of a deal as writing a more modern renderer. I suppose it's impossible to know if it will work smoothly without being able to try it but I suppose I'm just trying to work out ahead of time if it will be worth trying out. I know the model B Raspi has 256MB of RAM but do you think it will be able to handle SM smoothly? It'll need a new one for OpenGL ES 2.0, but that is manageable.Īlso the specs needed to run SM5 are listed as a minimum of 256MB of RAM and 16MB of video card memory. SM has an OpenGL backend used for Linux and OS X. Several members of the SM5 team can"t wait to get their hands on one of these.Įdit: additionally, SM hasn"t used SDL in years.ĭoesn't this mean that it uses directx? If it uses directx can that be used in a linux ARM environment? I was under the impression that directx is windows only. ![]() StepMania 3.9 is really outdated - little to no chance of a port. There will likely be an official port of StepMania 5 for ARM/RPi. ![]()
